Stems: A Garden Soirée has become the talk of the town in Overland Park in just two short years!

What is Stems?

It’s a fun-filled stroll through the Botanical Gardens at the Arboretum on a lovely June evening while

Sipping wine
Tasting delicious food from 15+ area restaurants and caterers
Enjoying art created during the 2nd annual Stems Plein Air Paint, music and other entertainment
Meeting friends at the party of the summer – the place to see and be seen
Supporting the Arts and Recreation Foundation and its mission to maintain the quality of life in our community. All proceeds benefit the Foundation’s General Fund and its campaigns to build the Train Garden at the Arboretum, the Ice Cream Parlor at the Farmstead and the City’s Master Plan for Public Art.

Tickets

Tickets are $85.00 each ($35.00 tax deductible). Purchase online or order by mail. Stems 2010 will sell out so order early!

Patron Tickets are $250.00 each ($140.00 tax deductible) and include early admission (5:30), VIP parking, and an invitation to the Riedel Glass Wine Tasting event on June 8, 2010, at the Ritz Charles. Patrons will enjoy an entertaining and informative evening with Maximilian Riedel as he treats guests to his family’s 250 years of experience of enhancing the pleasure of wine. Sponsorships

Sponsorship of Stems 2010 is a win-win for businesses and the Foundation alike. Sponsorships begin at $2,500. Businesses get tickets for employees or customers, promotional opportunities, donor recognition and other valuable benefits; and the Foundation uses sponsorship dollars to greatly increase its investment in projects. Stems Plein Air Paint Festival

Following the success of the 1st Annual Plein Air Paint at the Arboretum in 2009, plans are in place for an even more ambitious festival in May and June 2010. In addition to the opportunity to paint at the Arboretum, artists will be able to paint at the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead!

Award winning paintings will be for sale at Stems.

Gift Shop & Silent Auction

Back again this year will be Trish Reed’s signature hand-painted wine glasses as favors for all attendees. If you need more to complete your set, they’ll be available at the Gift Shop.

The Silent Auction will also be back. More art, gift certificates and items donated by area businesses will be up for bid.
