Volunteers

Friends of the Arboretum (FOTA)Volunteers give of their time, energy and knowledge to assist with the growth of the OP Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. Orientation sessions are held to learn about the OPABG and to complete the volunteer registration papers. A comprehensive notebook is provided, which includes the History of the Arboretum, Trail Map and Garden Areas, Calendar of Events, Friends of the Arboretum and Frequently Asked Questions. Volunteers take a Safety Class at a later date.

  • Gardeners
  • Greenhouse
  • Greeters
  • Tour Guides
  • Activities and Events
  • Prairie Restoration
  • Committees and specialized tasks

Volunteer Benefits include invitations to events such as Garden dedications, FOTA Quarterly Newsletter, Volunteer appreciation event, helping the OPABG grow and assisting the regional community enjoy activities and/or events.
